Note: Came to Texas in 1859 and settled in what later became thePatrick Community with his wife Elizabeth. He became an industrious farmer. He was a member of the Pine Hill Methodist Church and also of the Masonic Lodge at Pine Hill. During the Civil War, he wasa captain of Company G, TX state troops. The state troops were made up of oldermen.
