Thulo V. Byers, 7432 Woodland Way, St. Louis, MO 63121 has authored a 550 page book on David Byers and his brother Capt. William Byers. In Beersheba Cemetery, York County, SC, Mr. Byers found an amazing amount of information on the Byers family carved into the front and back of five tombstones. (It was later found that Mr. Thulo Byers "invented" a lot of data.)

Sarah Byers Porter's tombstone is in the SW are of the cemetery abt 50 ft east of the stone wall running parallel with Beersheba Road. Her stone reads S.P. 87.

To reachthe cemetery go west on Highway 5 from York, SC. After two miles you will be onthe land purchased by David Byers in 1764. Another three miles will be Beersheba Road. The church and cemetery sit in the southeast corner of the intersection.
