CECIL E. BARKER

CONWAY - Cecil Edwin Barker, 71, a retired farmer, died Saturday inConway. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church ofConway. Burial, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, will be in LakesideCemetery.

Mr. Barker was born in Conway, a son of Cheatham E. Barker and Ada EdgeBarker. He was a graduate of Conway High School and attended ClemsonUniversity. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member ofGunters Island Hunting Club and First Baptist Church of Conway.

Surviving are his wife, Irma Bost Barker; two sons, C.E. Barker Jr. ofKennesaw, Ga., and W. Craig Barker of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, R.Eldon Barker of Nichols; a sister, Elizabeth Constantian of Wadesboro,N.C.; and five grandchildren.
