1997 - Walk-off home run wins a dramatic SBC Tournament game
"This was one of the most exciting walk-off homers I can remember. We were playing Lamar in the first round of the SBC Tournament. They were leading 5-4, bottom of the ninth, two outs. Our leading home run hitter Joey Choron came up and hit a 2-run homer to win the game, 6-5. We went on to win the tournament after that. The most important thing I remember was that Steve Kittrell's father, who was a terrific guy and a good friend of mine, had passed away and Coach Kittrell had to miss the game. The team really stepped up and responded in that situation."
