"Humphrey Avery, by the purchase of four lottery tickets, came into possession of Pine Neck, Swan Creek Neck. Short Neck and a lot called No. 15, all in Wintrhop's Patent, Long Island. These lots were some of the p[rizesin his father's lottery, an account of which appears on page 156."
He was one of the proprietors of Chiswick NH and 1764 and also a member of the Susquehanna land company, 23 Feb 1772.
