LONGWOOD, N.C. _ Eloise Prince Ward McLamb, 80, of Ash Little River Road, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at the Autumn Care Nursing Home.

She was born July 29, 1918, in Columbus County, N.C., the youngest child of the late Julia Gore Prince and Doc Prince.

She was the widow of Luther L. Ward and Willie Joe McLamb, Sr.

She was a retired nurse, and graduated with honors from Southeastern Community College in the first nursing class the college held. She also taught nurse assistant classes at Cape Fear Community College.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was also an Eastern Star member.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Ward Formyduval and Shelton of Longwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Clawson Ward and Mary Ward of Longwood; a sister, Ila Long of Ash, N.C.; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Lewis Ward and Jackie, and Israel Formyduval and Michelle; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Amy Ward Simmons and Dwayne, and Julie Ward Faulk and Tim; two granddaughters, Susan Ward and Amanda Formyduval; twin great-grandsons, Ben and Justin Simmons; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Barbara M. Long.

Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at the Inman Funeral Home in Tabor City, N.C., and other times at the homes of her daughter and son.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church. The Revs. Tommy Fields and Billy Prince will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ward Cemetery.

The McLamb family wishes to thank the hall staff of the Autumn Care Nursing Home.
