Gloucester, Forscote and Elm, Somerset,and Astwell, Northants, son and heir of Sir Osbern GIFFARD, ofWinterborne Houghton, &c. (who died shortly before 17 October 1237), byIsabel, daughter and heir of Sir Alan DE BOCLAND, of Egg Buckland andHooe (a): which last named Osbern was a younger son of Sir Elis GIFFARD,of Brimpsfield, co.
