    Deceased Name: Leroy Combest
    WHITESBORO - Leroy Combest , age 81, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2005 at Wilson N. Jones in Sherman. He was born April 3, l924 in Celina, Texas to Addie and Bertha Combust. Leroy served in the United States Navy during World War 11 where he was stationed in Guam. He married Dolores Simpson on July 1st, 1950. He lived in Dallas l950-1981.
    He was employed by LTV for 31 years. He retired in 198l and moved to Whitesboro where he raised and raced quarter horses. He belonged to Oak Cliff Lodge No. 705 and Dallas Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and was a Baptist.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dolores; sons, Wendell and Juliana of Winchester, Va. and Stan and wife, Joyce of Justin, Texas; grandsons, Travis and wife, Linda from Virginia, Austin from Winchester and, Ashley from Winchester; sisters, Eloise of Princeton, Patsy and husband Bob from Missouri, Madell and husband, Charles of Princeton; brother; Jack of Seminole, Texas. He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, R.J. and Lewis.
    Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery on Hwy. 56 West in Whitesboro at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. The body may be viewed from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home, Main St. Whitesboro.
    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leroy Scholarship Fund ( for Whitesboro students) 307 West Main St., Whitesboro, Texas 76273.
