The Flemish Castellanus were important administrative and judicialdistricts, and the constables who ruled them ranked on the same level asthe great territorial barons, as the first vassals of the Count. Thusthere was no disparagement in the daughter of the Count of Guisnesmarrying the Constable of Bourbourg. Henry d. probably c1152 and wasburied at St. Bertin.
