(J. B. Stokes had married before, a McAli­lley and had 6 children - one son, William W. Stokes, was living in 1893.) Their children are 19121 Rhoda Hetherington Stokes, 19122 Dora Mary Stokes, 19123 John Green Stokes, 19124, 19125, and 19126. John B. Stokes will, at Chester County Courthouse, Chester, South Carolina, Bk C, P 219, Sept 1895, File 165, Pkg 1133, p 1e9 in WPA book 1886-1908, names three children: William W. Stokes, Rhoda H. Stokes, and Dora M. Stokes. The will was made 4 Jan 1890. A paper dated 3 Jan 1896 gave Rhoda Stokes Mayfield and Dora Stokes Kirk­patrick.
