Alice, daughter of Alexander Comyn, Sheriff of Aberdeen, and niece and heir of the line of John Comyn, Earl of Buchan. [Burke's Peerage]--------------------This latter designation was from his having married, about 1310, Alice, 1st daughter and coheir of Alexander COMYN, Sheriff of Aberdeen (1305) (younger son of Alexander, 6th Earl of Buchan), probably by Joan, sister of William LE LATIMER, his wife, and niece and heir of line to John [COMYN], Earl of Buchan [Scotland], with whom he had divers lands of which he had livery 1312-13. . . He died 10 March 1339/40. His widow, "reputed to be of full age" December 1312, died in 1349, before 10 August. [Complete Peerage II:59-60, XIV:78, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
