    Dale Wilbur Ratchford, age 88 of Marshall, Arkansas departed from this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. He was born in Baker, Arkansas on September 18, 1925 to Grover C. and Nora (Tilley) Ratchford.

    Dale was a WWII veteran, serving in the United States Navy from 1943—1946. On November 27, 1948 he married Wilma Racine Eaton. Dale worked for the Marshall School system from 1957—1987, first as a mechanic and bus driver, then as Transportation Director.

    He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Carl Ratchford; and two sisters, Ray Pruitt Ashley and Madge Cotton.

    Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; two sons, Roger and wife Sue of Leslie and Travis and wife Kay of Farmington; one daughter, Lisa Hust and husband Bill of Vilonia; five grandchildren who were the joy of his life, Whitney Milliken and husband Sean of Marshall, Andrea Correll and husband Brent of North Little Rock, Derek Ratchford and wife Heather of Springdale, Chelsey Hust of Vilonia and Colton Hust, also of Vilonia; and five great grandchildren, Emily and Isaac Milliken of Marshall and Colee, Ryder and Beket Ratchford of Springdale.

    Funeral services for Dale will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Sean Milliken officiating. A luncheon and visitation will be held at Thousand Hills Cowboy Church near Leslie from 12:00 until 1:30 preceding the service. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall.

    Pallbearers will be Bill Hust, Colton Hust, Derek Ratchford, Brent Correll, Joel Ratchford and Larry Cotton.
