Mullendore, Thomas A. ’Tommy’
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McCoy United Methodist Church
for Thomas A. "Tommy" Mullendore, 90, Anniston, who died Monday, Oct. 1,
2001, at Regional Medical Center. The Rev. Celia Cox will officiate. Burial
in Forestlawn Gardens. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary is in charge.
Mr. Mullendore was a member of McCoy United Methodist Church and Anniston
Masonic Lodge 700. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and veteran
of World War II. He was a native of Talladega and had resided in Anniston
for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Zera Bellamy Mullendore, Anniston; daughters,
Phoebe Strickland, Oxford, Fay Richardson, Austin, Texas, and Kay Suttle,
Selma; sister, Novie Medders, Anniston; brothers, Otis Mullendore, Jacksonville,
Jimmy Mullendore, St. Petersburg, Fla., and Gene Mullendore, Anniston;
grandchildren, Scott Richardson, Stacy Wigglesworth, Keith Hudson, Kim
Rainey, Mandy Rigler, Stephanie O’Bryon and Alan Strickland; special friend,
Wyatt Amos; 12 nieces and 13 nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Strickland, Luther Richardson, Keith Hudson
and Scott Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class at
McCoy United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral
home.
