   Memorial services for Patsy Kittrell Clyde, 90, of Tyler, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Marvin United Methodist Church with Dr. John Robbins officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow in the church's Pirtle Hall.
   
   A private family graveside service under the direction of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors will occur at Rose Hill Cemetery prior to the memorial celebration.
   
   Patsy died peacefully in her sleep at 12:20 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, surrounded by members of her loving family.
   
   Patsy was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Hamburg, Ark., to parents, John Cabeen Kittrell Sr. and Patsy Hankins Kittrell.
   
   Patsy's father moved his family to Tyler in 1930 to pursue a career in home building and the lumber business. As a child, she attended Camp Waldemar, a tradition followed later in life by her children and grandchildren.
   
   While a student at Tyler High School, Patsy met the love of her life, Calvin Clyde Jr., with whom she would later begin a marriage that would endure 70 1/2 years.
   
   She attended Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
   
   Patsy was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church, served on the board of Tyler Day Nursery and was a charter-emeritus sustaining member of the Junior League of Tyler, where she worked with special-needs kids. She was a founding member of the Festival Garden Club and a member of the Deck Club. She enjoyed playing mah-jong and bridge with her longtime friends at Willow Brook Country Club.
   
   Patsy was known for her culinary skills and was ahead of her time in creating delicacies that were both tasty and healthy.
   
   Patsy was loved very much by her entire family, who cherished their time spent with her.
   
   She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and uncanny recall of details.
   
   She loved her family and was very proud of their accomplishments. Her daughter, Carole Wilson, served as princess in the Texas Rose Festival, while daughter, Eloise Chandler; granddaughter, Anna Malone; and great-granddaughter, Sarah Clyde, served as queen.
   
   She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. Kittrell Sr. and Patsy Hankins Kittrell; brothers, Billy Kittrell and John C. Kittrell Jr.; and son, Nelson Clyde III.
   
   She is survived by her husband, Calvin Clyde Jr.; sister-in-law, Elaine Kittrell, of Huntsville, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Lloyd Wilson; daughter-in-law, Sherry Clyde; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Venona Clyde, all of Tyler; daughter and son-in-law, Eloise and Bill Chandler, of Virginia Beach, Va., granddaughter, Carrie Clark, of Dallas; grandsons, Nelson Clyde IV (Elizabeth) and Andrew Clyde (Leigh); granddaughter, Anna Malone (Brandon), all of Tyler; and grandson, Dr. John Clyde, of Spokane, Wash.; granddaughters, Dr. Mimi Miles (Avery), of Durham, N.C., Caroline Chandler, of New York City, Patsy Chandler, of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-grandchildren, Sarah Clyde, of Houston, and Cal Clyde V, Rachel Clyde, Jamie Clyde, Ferrell Clyde, Slade Clyde, Claire Malone and Emma Malone, all of Tyler.
   
   She also is survived by nieces, Kathy Churchman, of Fairfax, Va., Melanie Kittrell, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Heather Hubbard, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; as well as cousins, Betty Kittrell White, Winn Kittrell, Scott Kittrell and Steve Kittrell, all of Tyler.
   
   Pallbearers include Bill Chandler, Nelson Clyde IV, Andrew Clyde, Dr. John Clyde, Brandon Malone and Avery Miles.
   
   The Clyde family wishes to thank caregivers, Cassandra Taylor, Cheryl Draschil, Emma Gatewood, Yolanda Johnson, Dawn Bennett and Barbara Whitaker and housekeepers Clara Mae Johnson and Anita Payne for their loyal and outstanding service to Patsy.
   
   Visitation is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors, 215 E. Front St., in Tyler.
