Emily is perhaps buried in Wells Valley Cemetery, Johnston County, Oklahoma. There is a listing in this cemetery for an Emily Baker...the only date given is 1858 and this is the year that our Emily Baker was born.

The 1880 Fayette Co., Texas census shows Will Baker living in the home of Alfred Wood. Will's wife is listed as Emily and she is listed as "sister" to the head of household.

Emily Holmes, daughter of Hildy/Hila Petty Wood & John "Jack" Holmes (Hildy's
first husband was Silas Wood), born in Round Top,Fayette County, Texas. Emily's
older sibling was Mary Holmes Winnisderfer (spelled many ways). Hildy died
sometime after 1880 probably in Fayette County; John Holmes born September 5,
1816; died March 10, 1904; interred in Florida Cemetery, Round Top, Fayette
County, Texas, just outside the Winnisderfer family plot. John Holmes divorced
Hildy about 1869. Emily is listed in the 1860 Fayette County, Texas,Census
Record showing "Hily Homes" as head of household. William & Emily are shown in
the 1880 Fayette County, Texas Census Record living in the Alfred Wood
household. Alford was a half brother to Emily by Hildy's first marriage. Her
half siblings were: Jasper Wood, Lavina Wood Behringer, Carroll/Christian Wood,
Pauline/Pliney Wood Byler, Susan/Martha Wood, Alford Wood and Samuel Wood.
