Valando “Curley” New, 70, McMullen Road, Crab Orchard, Kentucky, son of George New and Elsie Moore New, passed away Sunday, November 20th, 2005 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, Kentucky.
He was born May 20th, 1935 in Mintonville, Kentucky. He was a factory worker and farmer.
He is survived by his wife; Ruth Elizabeth Rogers New: five children; Lee L. New, Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Randy Dale New, Lexington, Kentucky, Patricia Ann New, Madison, Indiana, George Denny New, Hustonville, Kentucky and Lela Faye Spry, Madison, Indiana: three brothers; Delmer New, Leesburg, Florida, Bud New, Muncie, Indiana and Elmer New, Science Hill, Kentucky: four sisters; Lola Spears, Science Hill, Kentucky, Faye Taylor, Science Hill, Kentucky, Ida Dick, Lexington, Kentucky, and Marie Yaden, Liberty, Kentucky: five grandchildren; Chris Brawner, Frank Brawner, Elizabeth Spry, Dustin New and Alexander New.
He was preceded in death by his parents: two brothers; James and Noble New.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Brother Noah Broughton officiating. Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery, Science Hill, Kentucky. Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.
