Mr. Jonas Glen Elliott, 72, Elliott Lane passed away Thursday January 3, 2002 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born August 8, 1929 in Ansel, KY., a son of the late Charlie Elliott and Hettie (Wilson) Elliott, He was US Army Sergeant in the Korean War, a retired employee of Crane Plumbing, a member of Mt. Gilead Masonic Lodge #255 of Science Hill, a member of the Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad. He loved sports and Blue Grass Music, was a member of First Baptist Church of Science Hill and attended the West Somerset Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mable (Maiden) Elliott: one son, Mike (and Rhonda) Elliott, Science Hill: one brother, Carroll (and Nancy Ann) Elliott, Science Hill: one sister, Ruth (and Arl) Dick, Science Hill; one sister-in-law, Hazel Elliott, Science Hill: two grandchildren, Laura Beth Elliott and Leslie Brooke Elliott: one great grandchild, Jalyn Nicole Sweet.
He was preceded in death by his parents: one brother, Paul Elliott: one grandson, Derek Michael Elliott.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Butte and Revered Eddie Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Friday January 4, 2002 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

Mrs. Josephine (Burnett) Sutton, 64, passed away Sunday December 30, 2001 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.
She was born May 27, 1937 in Keavy, KY., a daughter of the late James Burnett and Luticia (Calia) Burnett. She was a homemaker and a member of McKinney Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 18 years.
Survivors include her husband, Vernice Sutton, whom she married on June 10, 1955:three sons, James R. Sutton, Somerset, KY., Brother Steve (and Debby) Sutton, Somerset, KY. and Michael C. Sutton, Science Hill, KY.: three daughters, Rebecca (and Floyd Young, Science Hill, KY., Connie (and Ralph) Dick, Eubank, KY. and Tamara (and Galen) Burton, Eubank, Ky.: two brothers, Lelend Burnett, Sturgeon Bay, WI. and Herbert Burnett, Somerset, KY.: one sister, Eva Jenkins, New Albany, IN.: 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: two brothers, Otto and Eugene Burnett: one grandchild, Melissa Sue Sutton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 2, 2002 at McKinney Baptist Church with Brother Rick Reynolds and Brother Ronald Wesley. Burial will be in McKinney Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday January 1, 2002 at McKinney Baptist Church.
