    Ella Mae Tarter
    December 7, 1927 - October 24, 2008
    Ella Mae Tarter, age 80, of the Hickory Nut community of Nancy, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008 at her home.
    She was born on December 7, 1927 in Nancy, KY, the daughter of Killis and Ada Gaines Baugh. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Nancy, KY and the Hopeful Baptist Church.
    Mrs. Tarter is survived by a son, James Lewis Tarter of Nancy, KY; a brother, Amos (and Margaretta) Baugh of Nancy, KY; two sisters, Lorene Bennett of Nancy, KY and Emma (and Ernie) Bray of Somerset; three grandchildren, Anita Loveless, Amanda Reed, and Lewis Tarter; three great grandchildren, Makayla Loveless, Logan Loveless, and Marissa Loveless.
    Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Elzie Henry Tarter, whom she married on May 29, 1945 in Somerset; and two sisters, Josephine Dye and Helen Baugh.
    Visitation for Mrs. Tarter will be Sunday, October 26th after 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
    Funeral service will be Monday, October 27th at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Voils and Bro. Glen Richardson officiating.
    In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
