June 4, 1829.......Sister Mary died 1st of March....think of eight or nine of a family that I am left aloan the youngest to keep my father's place no friend no Relations to fetch to keep House for me. All Sisters left me - all nieces are no relation that I cold fetch to keep my house... I hope before I write you again I have changed my single Life when compelled to doe so. A wife I may geet but a better House Keeper I cannot get. She Died worth one Hundred and ten pound which she divided in the following manner: to your sister Bell Eldest daughter Nancy the whole of her wearing apperil & ten pound. Bell's youngest daughter Marey named for herself forty pounds - to your note - Hannah & Bell twenty pounds each and twenty pound to myself = L110.
