Abraham Estes was a linen weaver at Sandwich, Kent County England in
1672. He married Ann Burton (who was a widow) in England but apparently
she died before he emigrated to the British colonies in North America,
arriving in the parish of Lyndhaven Virginia on April 20, 1682
(previously called Old Westmoreland County). He wassponsored by
Thorogood Keeling. In 1683 he was living in New Kent County Virginia and
then settled in the parish of St. Stephen's in King and Queen CountyVA.
There he married Barbara Brock who is named as his wife in his will in
1720.
