DEATH: OBITUARY

DEATH: A prominent citizen of Henrietta, did Wednesday at his home near that place at an advanced age. Mr. Hunter had been an invalid for 50 years and during that time was only able to go about on crutches. He was 87 yrs. old and had lived in that section the greter part of his life. He was a good man and highly respected by all who knew him. He was taken ill one week before he died but his condition was not thought to be serious and Tuesday he rode horseback four miles. He is survived by the following children: D. R. Hunter of Southside, J. A. Hunter of Henrietta, Mrs. W. A. Walton of Henrietta, Mrs. R. C. Gupton of HaalfPone, and Mrs. J. C. Tyner of Nashville. He was the oldest of five living brothers, all of who are in advanced years. They are Henry Hunter of Southside, aged 86, W. C. Hunter of Oak Plains, age 81, T. W. Hunter of Cheap Hill, aged 75, and B. N. Hunter of Thomasville, aged 71. The funeral took place this afternoon with services at the grave by Re. James Harper of Pleasant View and Mallory Circuit. Burial was in the family burying ground. (Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle, 13, Sept. 1906).
