Mrs. Frances C. Jones, 90, of Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

Born Nov. 19, 1914, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Vada Hamrick Cabaniss and Henry Clay Cabaniss Sr. She was a homemaker and member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymon Kendall Jones Sr.; two sisters, Mildred C. Farris and Lillian C. Humphrey; and a brother, Henry Clay Cabaniss Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, J. Carol and husband, Dr. Richard Bowles, of Shelby; two sons, Raymon Kendall Jones Jr. of Shelby and Robert C. Jones and wife, Laura, of Ellenboro; a sister, Nell C. McSwain of Shelby; 10 grandchildren, Linda Jorgensen, Susan Sheffield, Rick Bowles, April Griggs, Wendy Coble, Mary Beam, Jill Triplett, Julie Rabb, Tammy Carter and Bobbie Bowling; and 17 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Double Springs Baptist Church, with the Revs. Bruce Rabon and Brint Hilliard officiating. The body will be placed in the church an hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
