Mrs. Susie K. Blanton, 53, of 3037 Charles Road, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.She was born Sept. 28, 1952, in Cleveland County and was owner and operator of Susie’s Pet Grooming and a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Kale.She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert “Shorty” Blanton of the home; parents, Mack Leonard Kale and Ruby Fortenberry Kale of Shelby; son, Kevin Blanton and wife, Brandie, of Shelby; sister, Doris Wellmon and husband, Roy, of Shelby; brother, Mack Kale Jr. and wife, Beth, of Polkville; two grandchildren, Korey and Hunter Blanton of Shelby; four nephews, Michael Canipe, Jeffrey Canipe, Jason Kale and Zack Kale; and two nieces, Haley Kale and Jessica Kale.The funeral is Thursday at 3 p.m. at Westwood Heights Baptist Church, with the Revs. Danny West and Jimmy Black officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial is in Sunset Cemetery.
