    Deceased Name: MARILYN HANSON

    Feb. 5, 1949 ~ March 29, 2012
It is with deep and profound sadness to announce the passing of Marilyn R. Hanson, 63, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Marilyn passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 3:00PM at the Anchor Park United Methodist Church, 2300 Oak Drive, Anchorage, Alaska, 99508. Friends and family are welcome to join us to celebrate her wonderful life.
Marilyn was born February 5, 1949 in Uriah, Alabama and lived in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida before moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 1978 with her children Timothy and Amy. She married Jeffrey in 1985 and gave birth to her third child, Heidi in 1988.
Most recently, Marilyn was a teaching assistant at Mountain View Elementary School -- and was absolutely delighted to work with children and wonderful school staff. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jeffrey R. Hanson, her daughter Heidi E. Hanson of Anchorage, Alaska, her daughter and son-in-law, Amy K. Pfaff and David Pfaff of Clearwater, Florida , her son and daughter in-law Timothy P. McAliley and Stephanie McAliley of Daytona, Florida. She has three grandchildren, Wyatt Pfaff and Isaac Pfaff and Riley McAliley . She also has two stepdaughters, Crystal Hanson and Sabrina Hanson Reiter and her husband Mr. Jeb Reiter.
She is also survived by her twin sister Carolyn Neuschwander, two elder sisters, Margret French and Judy Woolley, and an elder brother William Rabon. Marilyn was very much a social butterfly who dearly loved her friends and family. She leaves behind a brigade of faithful, loving friends and relatives too many to mention here but absolutely very dear to her heart. On behalf of her family we want to extend our warmest appreciation to Cheryl Sayen, RN., and the rest of the amazing staff at Providence Hospice -- your strength and caring warmth helped Marilyn and our family through this difficult time.
Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Alaska. An online guestbook can be signed at www.alaskacremation.com
