Notes for Samuel Rogers Harris, Jr.: Uncle Sam was in the Navy in Norfolk in WWI according to RYF. He always gave us (RAF and BEF) money when he came to visit because he was our 'Uncle Sam'. (actually he was our great uncle). He was a small man and smoked cigars. Never had children in spite of what the Hicks books says.
