   State of South Carolina { Know all men by these presents that I
   Chester District{ Edward Colvin of the District of Chester in the State aforesaid for and in Consideration of the love and good will & affection which I have and do bear to my son John Colvin of the District & State aforesaid have granted, bargained and released, and by these presents do grant bargain release and forever quit claim And I do hereby bind myself my heirs Execs & Admst to Warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said John Colvin his heirs & assigns against myself my heirs Exec's & administrators and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this 26th day of January 1813 in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen and in the thirty seventh year of the Independence of the United States of America.

   State of South Carolina Chester District personally appeared Jese Simpson before me the subscribing Justice for Said District and made oath that he was present and saw Edward Colvin sign seal and as his act and deed deliver the within deed or instrument of writing to his son John Colvin for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and that he also saw Thomas Colvin sign his name thereto together with himself as concurring witness to the same.
