Notes about Elenor Elander Sanders

From Jenna Stowall McGrath "Thank you for answering Dave.
John C. Smith is Eleanor's son-in-law, John Ceylon Smyth(e) and his wife, Catherine is most probably Catherine Green Smith, Eleanor's daughter. I've been searching for her for about 6 years now.
John Ceylon Smyth(e) was born 1822, Alexander Co., ILL. My understanding is that he was a part-time minister and, indeed, against slavery. I think that is proven by the fact that in the late 1860s he named a son Abraham Lincoln Smythe, in Texas no less. John's brother, Peyton, was in the Texas Ranger Volunteer unit that remained loyal to the union. Peyton and 3 sisters were born in TN.
John and Catherine had a son, Amos Peyton Pierce Smythe in 1853. The story goes that a tree fell on John and Catherine, who was expecting at the time, pulled the tree off of him, she and the baby dying as a result. He married Adeline Foster Young in Bexar Co., TX in 1855. John and Adeline are my gggrandparents.
John Ceylon's father, John F. Smyth, was born abt 1794, probably in NC. He, too, was supposed to have been a minister. He compiled the 1820 census for Alexander Co., ILL in 1820 so he was educated. He also paid $18,000.00 for land so he certainly wasn't poor. I believe his mother was Mary Ann, living next door to him in 1820. My brick wall is John F.'s father.
I have been unable to locate Eleanor or any of her children after 1850. I did find that Eleanor was a slave owner (1) in 1850.
John C. and Catherine had the following children: Andrew Chatham Smyth, b. 1845, Elba Ann, b. 1848, Etna Green, b. 1850 (her twin died at birth), Amos Peyton Pierce, b. 1853. Elba and Etna married brothers, Shepard Baylis Corder and Joel Gulliam Corder.
I am so pleased that I was able to help you. You helped me with the history lesson. If you should find that Catherine was Eleanor's daughter I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Do you have any idea where the Green came from?
I am getting ready to move so I will be off line for a while. I will be on line until this coming Wednesday. My email address after that will be (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX) ."
