    Dorothy Adams Hitchcock, 76, Hwy. 1676, Science Hill, Kentucky, daughter of Ansel Adams and Nora Bell Vaught Adams, passed away Saturday, January 7th, 2006 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky.

    She was born January 13th, 1929, in Hogue, Kentucky. She was a retired seamstress from Palm Beach, Somerset, Kentucky and a member of Center Post United Methodist Church, Science Hill, Kentucky.

    She is survived by two daughters; Linda Crouthers, Batavia, Ohio and Phyllis Jasper, Science Hill, Kentucky: two sisters; Shirley Lowman, Cincinnati, Ohio and Diana Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio: 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband; Isaiah Alfred Hitchcock, whom she married on September 6th, 1947 and who passed away on October 24th, 1968: her parents: one daughter; Pauline Curry: one brother; Everett Adams: two sisters; Sylvia Wilson and Betty Lou Disney.

    Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10th, 2006, at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Brother Richard West and Brother David Boling. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Science Hill, Kentucky. Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 9th, 20065 at the Chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
