Notes about Novella Patience Spangler
Mrs. Novella Patience Spangler Dixon, 91, of 4303 Fallston Road died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late A.D. and Nannie Patience Greene Spangler and was a homemaker. She was a member of Fallston Baptist Church and Fallston Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former member of Fallston Woman's Club and the Home Demonstration Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Leck Spangler, A.L. Spangler, Yates Spangler, Carl Spangler, Clemmie Spangler and Eubert Spangler, and five sisters, Mary Hendrick, Euna Stockton, Evie Laughlin, Flossie Cornwell and Essie Sperling.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Paul Allen Dixon Sr., two sons and two daughters-in-law, Ralph and Sybil Dixon of Fallston and Allen and Linda Dixon of Kings Mountain; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kim Wease and her husband, Tommy, Christy Dixon, Kevin Dixon, Ralph Dixon Jr. and his wife, Myra, and Sherry Nappier and her husband, Randy; and five great-grandchildren, Brett Wease, Brady Wease, Zachary Nappier, Heather Burris and her husband, Josh, and Christopher Dixon.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fallston Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Norton and Bruce Rabon. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
