Notes about Mary E. Suggs Ker [OKk Bu]r

Mary was an heir to her father's estate along with her siblings, receiving $465.92.

After her husband Zenas Kerr died, Mary eventually moved to Tallahatchie County, Mississippi with her family (by the 1870 census, taken in June of that year). She was admitted to membership of New Hope Presbyterian Church on October 16, 1870
and was a member until moving permanently out of Mississippi in 1876 (to Texas by way of Arkansas). Her final letter of dismissal from the church was granted on November 19, 1876. Mary is listed in the 1880 Census for Faulkner County, Arkansas.
She appears in the membership of Allen's Chapel Methodist Church, Fannin County, Texas, where she obtained dismissal by letter on December 28, 1891. Mary died in Fannin County, Texas and is buried in Allen's Chapel Cemetery in that county.
