Addison Porter McKeown was the son of Nancy Susannah "Susan" Wilson and Hugh Seed McKeown, Sr. He was married to Elizabeth Jane McKeown. They had seven children: Mary Jane McKeown Lewis, John Christopher Wilson McKeown, Hugh Seed McKeown, Theodore Benjamin McKeown, Anderson Mayo McKeown, Samuel Oneal McKeown and William Leroy McKeown.

Addison Porter McKeown had nine brothers and sisters: Theodore Perry McKeown, Sr., Christopher Wilson McKeown, Ann McKeown Mayo, Nancy Fanny McKeown, Washington Oneal McKeown, John James McKeown, Hugh Seed McKeown, Jr., Samuel Scott McKeown and Elizabeth Susannah McKeown Law.

The McKeown Family Cemetery is located one mile north of Cornwell, S. C. in McKeown, S. C. Take Highway 321 until you find Love Road. The cemetery is located on a dirt road off of Love Road. The cemetery can be seen from Highway 321.
