Note:
James A. Dugger died in the Battle of Belmont fighting for the 22nd Tennessee Infantry out of Gibson County, Tennessee.
According to family records James fought as a private in the Confederate War and was killed in 1861 at Fort Columbus, Kentucky in 1861. His body was shipped home from Kentucky and a rat bit off his ear during the transit. Wylie and his younger brother, James Monroe Dugger moved to Arkansas in the 1880s and married sisters. Wylie married Joella Edwards ( 1870 - 1912 ) and James " Monroe " married Callie Edwards.
