In the name of God Amen I William Floyd of the County of Granville and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be God do this third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following that is to say First I lend to my beloved wife Elizabeth Floyd during her natural life time all my estate after paying my just debts and after her death 2nd I give and bequeath to my son William one hundred & four acres of land Known by the name of the Skittrele.. (copy cut off) tract 3rd I give and bequeath to my son George one hundred & fifty six acres of Land the tract wheron I now live the balance of my Estate except five shillings I give and bequeath to my daughter Dilly Highfill Sarah Lock Elizabeth Ester Mary Finch & Tempy Hichman to each an equal proportion I give to my daughter Nancy Hickman five shillings And I hereby make and ordain my son William Floyd & George Floyd executors of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I the said William Floyd have ? my last will and Testament ? my hand & Seal the day & year afore written. Housze, adm Nove 10, 18444 and credits with balance due Jan 1845 to ward. Guardian states he rec money for his ward fromAlabama after Jan 1845 and that the houe and lot belonging to the chidren of B. Kittrell, lately the dower property of e. J. Kittrell was rented to J. J. Thomas for the year 1844 and 1/4 of this belongs to Louisa Kittrell, his ward; the house and lot in Oxford rented to James Nuttall, 2 negroes have been refd for his ward and one other who is no good and must be given supportby my ward. The chidren are entitled to 287 acres in Wake Co and 120 acres in Granville, which lands are not fit for rent and also undivided interst in land in Franklin County on Tar River, being the life estate of Zadock Brown in said interest. No rent has ever been received for it.
