Daniel Lewis Kittrell , 87, born in Ormond Beach, FL to Sadie Murphy Kittrell and Daniel Hubert Kittrell March, 10th 1925 and died January 5th at home after a prolonged illness. He was one of the first Life Guards at Ormond Beach. Dan was a Naval Veteran of World War II serving from 1941-1946 in the Pacific Theatre. He was a Project Engineer for Lehigh Portland Cement Co. from 1952-1989. Dan was preceded in death by Helen his wife of 44 years. He is survived by Mary his wife of eight years; and his five children, Carol Jean, Sandra, Daniel, Pamela and Janice; and four step children, Linda, Susan, Tracy, and Judy. He also leaves eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dan's passion was fishing and lobstering. He held a lobstering license's from 1957-1976. He never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. Private family services to be held at a later date.
