Rev. William Laurens Pressly was pastor from 1862- 1871. He was born in Due West, South Carolina on May 3, 1837, the son of Rev. Ebenezer Erskine Pressly, who has served as the pastor of Generostee. He was educated at Erskine College and Erskine Theological Seminary. He was installed as pastor of Generostee and Concord in 1862. Mr. Pressly gave up the work at Generostee in 1871 to go to Due West, where he served as the pastor of the Due West Church for seventeen years. He taught in Erskine Theological Seminary and became president of the institution in 1889. His death came on June 8, 1906.
Rev. Robert Foster Bradley served as pastor from 1873- 1883. He was born in Abbeville County, South Carolina on September 22, 1846, the son of William Kid Bradley. He was a graduate of Erskine College and Erskine Theological Seminary. He was installed as pastor of Generostee and Concord congregations on September 5, 1873. After leaving Generostee in 1883, he became the first pastor of the Troy congregation. In 1891, he accepted the work at Long Cane, where he continued until the end of his life in 1932. Like many other early A.R.P. ministers, Mr. Bradley engaged in farming in addition to his pastoral duties.
Rev. Calvin Pressly was pastor from 1884- 1895. He was born at Starkville, Mississippi on March 19, 1847, the eldest son of Rev. David Pressly. During the Civil War, he served with distinction in the famous Cavalry of General N. B. Forrest. Mr. Pressly was educated at Erskine College and Erskine Theological Seminary. In 1884, he became pastor of Generostee, Concord, and Grove congregations. He relinquished this work on January 2, 1895 to take up work in Milam County, Texas. His death occurred on December 19, 1919.
Rev. Joseph Lowry Pressly was stated supply at Generostee from January 1, 1896 until September 30, 1896. Mr. Pressly was born on February 5, 1868 at Moffatsville, South Carolina, the son of Rev. William Laurens Pressly and Frances Elizabeth Wideman. His father was Generostee’s fourth pastor. He was a graduate of Erskine College and Erskine Theological Seminary. Mr. Pressly never had a call but was assigned to his charges by the Synod or by the Board of Home Missions. He died on February 12, 1936 in Covington County, Arkansas.

    Rev. Calvin Pressly was born in Starkville, Mississippi on March 19th 1847. Calvin was the oldest son of Rev. David Pressly, D. D. and the former Miss Lethe Ann Fair, a daughter of James Fair, of Abbeville Co., South Carolina. During the civil war he served with distinction in Gen. N. B. Forrest's Tennessee cavalry. His educational advantages were good,—in a classical school in Starkville and at Erskine College, where he graduated in 1869. In October of the same year he was received as a student of theology, and entered Erskine Theological Seminary. He completed the course in 1871, and was licensed by the Second Presbytery, at King's Creek A. R. P. church, Newberry County, South Carolina, Aug. 11, 1871.
    On July 21, 1869, Calvin Pressly married Miss Nancy Ellen, only daughter of Rev. James Patterson Pressly and the former Miss Mary E. Young of Due West, South Carolina. Nancy was a graduate of the Due West Female College in the class of 1863. Eight children were born to them.
    The Memphis Presbytery ordained Rev. Pressly at Starkville A.R.P. church; where his father was pastor on August 31, 1872. A few months later installed him pastor of Shiloh A.R.P. This relation continued until 1878. On account of feeble health, he was laid aside from regular ministerial work for six years. In Oct., 1884, he was installed pastor of Gencrostee, Concord, and Grove churches in Anderson, South Carolina. He left these congregations in 1894, and began work in Milam County, Texas on January 2, 1895. Rev. Pressly was pastor of Marlow A. R. P. church from the spring of 1897 to Dec. 1, 1902.
    Rev. Calvin Pressly departed this life on the 28th of November 1919 at the age of 72 in Cameron, Milam County, Texas. He is buried beside his wife in Marlow Cemetery.
