Van Jozina Cornelia van der Put-Doorn is bekend dat ze veel wandelde, zo ging ze te voet van Dordrecht naar Maasdam. En toen Jozina na het overlijden van haar man bij haar dochter Bets de Bruin-Van der Put aan deVissersdijk op Dubbeldam woonde, kon ze wekelijks bij de apotheek aan het Scheffersplein in Dordrecht waar Antonie gewerkt had, een rijksdaalder pensioen komen halen. Dochter Bets gaf haar moeder geld voor de busnaar Dordrecht, maar Jozina ging lopen.
