Around 1817 the family moved from Giessen-Nieuwkerk via Sliedrecht (1818) to Drenthe and Overijssel. Both Huibert and Jannitje/Ariaantje are listed as laborers at the various marriages of their children.

Daughter Hendrika marries in Hardenberg, Overijssel in 1830.
Son Jan marries in 1833 in Hardenberg.
