_MDCL allergic to bee stings, breast cancer in her 40's, several heart attacks after age 70, chronic anemia (cause not discovered) in last five years of life requiring blood transfusion
Attended Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, obtaining a BA. Began teaching career in Deseronto, Ontario. Moved to Runnymede Collegiate in Toronto where she met John Beatty.

Loved swimming, and outdoor activities. Loved Quinn Lake where she spent summers in the 1980's and '90's with the grandchildren - Sara, Ben, Mike and John.
