Notes about Albert "Bert" VERDONK

Albert heeft eerst gewerkt als timmerman.
Albert vertrok op 25-1-1920 met zijn tweede vrouw naar Batavia. Hij was in dienst van de PTT. In 1927 kwam hij met verlof en vertrok weer op 21.03.1928 naar Soerabaja.
In 1931 kwam hij terug en vestigde zich na zijn pensionering te Voorschoten, waar hij voor zichzelf een huis bouwde (De Rietvink); tenslotte vertrok hij naar het rusthuis De Vijverhof te Bodegraven waar hij overleed.
Op 20.04.1917 werd door het notaris kantoor Sadée te 's Gravenhage een "akte van beschrijving des gemeenschappelijken boedels"opgemaakt; het totaalbedrag van de waarde was 131,50, waarvan op 31.12.1935 65,75 is uitgekeerd aan Hendrik Jacobus Verdonk.
De akte is mede ondertekend door de toeziend voogdes Mejuffrouw Alida Wilhelmina Kleijweg een zuster van Alberts eerste vrouw en de schatter David van Dien uit Alphen aan den Rijn.
Albert verklaarde in die akte overigens dat uit zijn huwelijk slechts één kind was geboren!
Albert en zijn eerste vrouw woonden in Den Haag op het adres Beijerstraat 17 en later op nr. 20.
In 1916 woonde Albert in de Paul Krugerstraat 205, daarna aan de Kleine Veenkade 15 en nog weer later in de Koekoekstraat 258.
Albert was Nederlands Hervormd. Zijn eerste vrouw was Doopsgezind, zijn tweede Gereformeerd.
