Notes about Jan Hendriks Medendorp

Loodsexamen gedaan op 25-9-1731 hij was 26 jaar oud. Op 15-7-1765 wordt hij tot f 2000,- gegoed. Hij was commandeur walvisvaart van 1740-1745 voor een reder uit Amsterdam, later binnenvader van het weeshuis. (zie P. Dekker, West Friesland oud en nieuw 1981, blz 152). Volgens Vlam is hij in een eerste huwelijk, impost op 19-11-1729 PD no 255 C, getrouwd met Neeltje Alberts Doft ged 25-4-1700 te Huisduinen als dochter van Albert Teunisz Doft en Trijn Jans Bras. Van zijn broer Aris wordt hetzelfde beweert; wat is nu goed ?
