Aan het eind van de Kromme Zandweg, bij de watertoren, staat de boerderij ‘Merwezigt’. Volgens overlevering had men daar vroeger uitzicht op de Boven Merwede, vandaar de naam. Een gevelsteen in de voorgevel herinnert aan de bouw in 1770. De familie Molendijk heeft in dat jaar de boerderij laten bouwen en woonde er tot 1877. Door het ontbreken van een opvolger kreeg Adrianus Herweijer, neef van Adrianus Molendijk, bij testament het recht de onroerende goederen over te nemen voor de prijs van f 74.483,-. De inventaris van “Merwezigt” bestond toen uit o.a.: “De bouwmanswoning genaamd Merwezicht, getekend B130 met schuur, wagen- en andere keten, verdere betimmeringen, opstand, erf, tuin en boomgaard onder Dubbeldam aan de Kromme Zandweg in de polder Oud Dubbeldam”.
