Nummer IIIa in stamboom Ammerlaan Cornelis de Oude HAMMERLAEN bouwman te Wateringen aan de Noordweg, koopt op 4-8-1631 voor het eerst een stukje land in Wateringen, ruim 8 hont, in de West-Eskamp (RA Wateringen 31, f.42r-42v). Dit was weiland. Op 12-5-1643 komen daar ruim 13 hont teelland bij in de Wipplder (RA Wateringen 32, f.281r-282r). Uit stukken betreffende de West Eskamp van 1652/1653 (oud archief Delfland 3736) blijkt dat hij ingeland was van ca. 20 morgen. Toch heeft hi jhet financieel niet zo goed gehad, gezien de vele schuldbekentenissen op 12-1-1657 aan Mr. Johan Boot (1200 gls. RA Wateringen 35, f.42v-44r); op 20-7-1657 aan Joris Jansz. Ackersdijk 1300 gls. (RA Wateringen 35, f50r-51r): op 13-7-1660 aan voorn. Johan Boot 4000 gls; op 19-5-1663 aan voorn. Johan Boot 4700 gls. Geen wonder dat de boedel na de dood van Cornelis Adriaenszn. geabondonneerd werd. Op 29-2-1692 werden huis en land gekocht door Ary Cornelisz. Ammerlaen den Ouden, een van de zoons Cornelis was rond 1650 schepen van Wateringen (zn. van II), ged. Wilsveen (Ned. Herv.) 23-3-1603 (dppgt. Joris Jorisz. en Marritgen Martensdr.), overleden Wateringen voor 29-2-1692, tr. Rijswijk (gerecht) 10-10-1630.
