Hugo de Zwarte (gest. 9 september 952) was een zoon van hertog Richard I van Bourgondië en Adelheid van Auxerre. Na de verkiezing van zijn broer Rudolf tot koning van West-Francië, werd Hugo regent in Bourgondië. Hugo werd hertog van Bourgondië en graaf van Auxerre in 936. Hugo weigerde Lodewijk IV van Frankrijk als koning te erkennen bij zijn aantreden, maar werd enkele jaren diens bondgenoot tegen Hugo de Grote. In 943 moet hij evenwel van keizer Otto I de hertogelijke waardigheid afstaan aan Hugo de Grote.

Hugo was gehuwd met Ermengard, en was vader van:
een dochter die huwde met Giselbert van Chalon
een dochter die huwde met Leutald I van Mâcon.
