(R.A. 's-Gravenzande, inv. nr. 33 dd. 19 februari 1664) Louris Pietersz van Staelduynen koopt de Kaapwoning van de mede-erfgenamen van Maertje Jorisdr., laatst weduwe van Jan Cornelisz Goudappel.
Louris Pietersz was getrouwt met Maertje Jans Goutappel. Koopsom Ÿ 3.300,-. Hierdoor komt de Kaapwoning in handen van een "van Staalduinen". Sindsdien is het landgoed door overerving, soms ook langsvrouwelijke lijn, drie eeuwen lang in de familie gebleven.
De boerderij is gelegen in het Nieuweland van Zandambacht, daar waar de Noordzeekusteen bocht naar het Westen vertoont en een soort "kaap" vormt.
Sinds het graven van de "Nieuwe Waterweg" ligt de Kaapwoning in Hoek van Holland
