Jan was bouwman, eerst in Numansdorp aan de Middelsluissedijk WZ28 op de hoeve "Dijkzicht" en later te Dubbeldam (bron: GvdL).
Jan Hendrikse van der Linden verzoekt acte van indemniteit voor zijn acht kinderen voor de helft of van zijn zijde. Namen der kinderen Hendrick 19jr, Ercksie 16jr, Jan 14jr, Cornelis 11 jr, Adrijanus 9jr, Ariaantje Jans 5jr en Dirck 2jr.
De vader wil voor zichzelve ook om een acte verzoeken maar dacht die niet nodig te hebben. De diaconie zoude voor de wederhelft zorgen.
Gedaan te Numansdorp 26.04.1729.
Wanneer hij noch naar Strijen woude gaen moest hij de acte daar vertonen (Cromstrijen 1729).
