Notes about Nicolaas Jacobus LEIJER

In 1901 werd Nicolaas Jacobus Leijer, bouwkundig opzichter, en zijn gezin vanuit Hellendoorn ingeschreven in het Bevolkingsregister van Rotterdam. Zij vertrokken in 1903 naar Sambirano Valley in Madagaskar. In November 1904 waren ze weer terug (uit Hell-Ville, Madagaskar), maar niet voor lang. In Mei 1906 vertrokken ze naar Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, waarNicolaas Jacobus werkte als timmerman bij de Nederlandse Scheepsbouw Matschappij, bleef het gezin niet lang. Het vertrok in Februari 1907 naar Chili.
