    Op 29 augustus is het schip nog gezien door de KW 140 op de positie 53’35 N. en 3’40 O.
    Het schip was ondanks zwaar weer vissende, maar het viszeil was niet gehesen.
    Op 5 september viste de KW 155 een stalen carbidebusje op met het merk KW 46.
    De scheepvaart-inspectie sluit niet uit dat toen het schip door de KW 140 werd gezien, de bemanning al door een stortzee overboord was geslagen.
    Op 30 augustus was er een orkaan-achtige storm, zodat de logger toen ten onder moet zijn gegaan.
