Jacob van Sante bezat en bewoonde een huis te Westzaandam vooraan op het Schapepad en was houtzager en houtkoper met de molen "Het Witte Schaap". Op 26.4.1731 werd hij buitenvader van het weeshuis. Hij was op 5-5-1745 hoofdcommandeur spuit nr. 3. Hij kocht op 10-10-1748 het makelaarsambt te Westzaandam.
