Rondde in 1928 een 2-jarige opleiding tot Montessori-onderwijzeres af, werkte als zodanig enige tijd in de kliniek in Jena waar haar geestelijk gehandicapte broer Wassily werd verpleegd en gaf les op een experimentele school in St. Louis. Ze gaf tekenlessen op de lagere school van de Philipsfabriek in Eindhoven.
Schreef en illustreerde samen met haar man Jacob Kloot kinderboeken onder de naam "El Pintor".
