"Alzoo in den Jaare 1743 is komen te overlijden Hermanus Segboer Bouwman, gewoond hebbende in de Maria Polder onder deze jurisdictie, nalatende 3 onmondige kinderen met name Jacobus, Cornelia en Zijtie, verwekt bij Neeltie Janse Witbol, zonder zijne nagelaten onmondige kinderen van goede en getrouwe voogden te hebben besorgt. Zoo is't Heeren Regenten dezer Heerlijkheid, als oppervoogden en weesmeesteren van alle Wezen, van 's Heren wegen, hebben goedgevonden (vermits deselve 3 onmomdige kinderen niet konnen blijven ontbloot van voogden) daar toe aan te stellen en Committeren gelijk wij den selve aanstellen en committeren bij deezen tot voogd over dezelve, den persoon van Hermanus Segboer, Scheepen in wette alhier, omme met de minderjarige te handelen als een goede en getrouwe voogd schuldig is en behoord te doen, ten welke eynde de voors(chreven) voogd heden compareerende den Eed van getrouwigheid daar toe afgelegt, de welke daartoe is staende, met belofte van op deselve weezen opvoedingen goede agt te zulle hebben, profeyt te betragten, en schade zooveel mogelijk te weeren, en verders daar omtrent te doen als den selve amptshaleve verpligt is te doen. ZOO WAARLIK MOET GOD ALMAGT HELPEN, mits doende aan ons behoorlijke verantwoordinge.
Aldus gedaan en gepasseert binnen 's Princeland denb 13 februari zeeventien hondert neegen en veertigh.
